Bonnie Raitt Donates Concert Tickets To Benefit OSPIRG Foundation’s Clean Energy Program
Tickets to Sold-Out McMenamins Edgefield Concert to Support Oregon Group

Portland, OR:  Singer, songwriter and activist Bonnie Raitt has donated a number of great premium tickets for her sold-out Tuesday, September 5th show with special guest Keb’ Mo’ to benefit the OSPIRG Foundation, the 501(c)(3) sister to Oregon State Public Interest Research Group (OSPIRG).  The concert is at the McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale.

“We are thrilled that Bonnie Raitt is supporting our work to reduce global warming pollution and support clean energy here in Oregon,” said Jeremiah Baumann, OSPIRG Foundation Energy Advocate.   “She has been a long-time leader for promoting clean renewable energy.”

Gold Circle Reserved center-section tickets are available for $250 and include a private, backstage, after show reception with Bonnie and Keb' Mo’. Silver Circle tickets are premier reserved benefit seats in the center section, and are priced at $175.  Tickets are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.  Tickets will go on sale Thursday August 3rd, at 9 a.m. PDT and can be ordered on-line at http://www.guacfund.org or by calling OSPIRG at (503) 231-4181.

Recently, the OSPIRG Foundation worked with a broad coalition of environmental, health, religious, and business organizations to enact the clean cars program, Oregon’s first-ever statewide limits on global warming pollution from new cars and trucks. OSPIRG Foundation is currently working to reduce global warming pollution by increasing Oregon’s use of energy conservation and clean renewable energy sources like wind and solar power instead of fossil fuels.  The ticket sales will help support OSPIRG Foundation’s work to bring clean energy to Oregon.

“We hope that Oregonians will support our work by buying these great Gold Circle tickets.  They should jump at the chance to meet such a great musician and activist as Bonnie,” concluded Baumann.

OSPIRG Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, that offers an independent and articulate voice on behalf of the public interest in Oregon, and is the sister organization to Oregon State Public Interest Research Group (OSPIRG).  More information at www.ospirg.org.
