Indian Point is leaking radioactive waste
into the Hudson River, is one of the most vulnerable terrorist targets,
and has 20 million people without a workable evacuation plan living in
its shadows. We can replace the energy, not the lives.
Pete Seeger, lived in Nyack as young boy
and has had a long history of activism on a variety of social change, peace,
and environmental issues. He has been very outspoken on the issue of nuclear
power and the Indian Point Nuclear power plant of Hudson, in particular.
He is a true American folk hero and an inspiration to all those who support
peace and justice.
Ani DiFranco has been active in issues
that relate the public interest since she started her career some 15 years
ago in the bars of Buffalo. She speaks from the heart and has formed her
own record company, Righteous Babe Records, to give that heart a clear
voice.
